What can I expect at a cataract consultation?

During this phone consultation, several questions regarding your insurance and visual goals will be discussed. During the initial examination, a doctor will perform several tests and dilate your pupils. This helps to obtain accurate measurements and aids in checking the health of the inside of your eyes.

How long does a cataract exam take?

Your visit will take approximately two hours. We will measure your eyes, the doctor will examine your eyes, and if surgery is indicated, the lens options available for surgery will be discussed.

How many appointments do you need for cataract surgery?

Depending on your overall eye care needs, you will likely be instructed to schedule a 3 month, 6 month, or 1 year annual eye exam to follow up regarding your future eye care needs. Some patient's Co-manage their surgical appointments.
